Review Policy

Interested in having me review your book? Great! Check out the guidelines below to see if your book might be a good fit. PLEASE read the entire thing!

Genres I Accept

I read all sorts of books, but know that I will typically give preference to YA fantasy, chick-lit, paranormal romances, historical fiction and mysteries.

What I won’t accept: self help, sports, young children’s, memoirs. Sorry. If you fit any of those categories, your book will not be accepted.

Preferred Format

I always prefer physical copies of the books, but I will consider digital formats as well. It’s not a deal breaker, but I’m likely to prioritize physical books higher.

Time Frame

I’m currently at least a month out on reviews. Between overextending myself and working on my own book, I’m just not able to read as many books as I would like. If you want the review on a particular date, just let me know. We might be able to work something out.

A Few Things to Keep in Mind…

  • I’m doing this for free. I don’t get paid to do these reviews and I do have a life outside of this blog. You’re a grown up. Be polite. If I’m interested in your book I will do my very best to accommodate you.
  • I will be honest about my opinions. I might not like your books. Please don’t take it personally. Not every book is going to please everyone.
  • If I’m unable to review your book in the time frame you would prefer, please feel free to volunteer to do an author interview, guest post or even a giveaway. I’m happy to consider those requests.
  • Please don’t be offended if I don’t email you back. I get quite a few requests, I’m not trying to be rude, just stretched for time. Feel free to follow up or even offer to to do a guest post, etc. in lieu of my doing a review.

I have the utmost respect for what you all are doing as writer, publicists, publishers, or however you contribute to books getting out there. This is something I do because I love books. I’ve met some really amazing people writing this blog and I look forward to working with many more.
